Meet Sean Howard

---

I joined D. R. Howard, Inc. in 2020, bringing a unique combination of construction management experience and hands-on trade expertise.

After earning my degree in Construction Management and Business, I began my career at Shawmut Design and Construction, where I worked as both an estimator and project manager on complex commercial projects. Seeking a deeper understanding of how projects are built in the field, I made the uncommon decision to join Plumbers Local 12 and complete the apprenticeship program. Over the following years, I gained hands-on experience across a wide range of commercial projects while earning both my Journeyman and Master Plumber licenses.

This combination of general contractor, subcontractor, management, and field experience has shaped the way I approach leadership today. Having worked on both sides of the table, I understand the challenges faced by owners, architects, contractors, and tradespeople alike. That perspective allows me to anticipate issues early, communicate effectively, and focus on solutions that keep projects moving forward.

I oversee both field and office operations and remain actively involved in every project from budgeting and preconstruction through closeout. I regularly visit our jobsites to support our teams, monitor progress, ensure quality workmanship, and identify opportunities to improve coordination and accelerate schedules.

I believe successful projects are built on strong relationships, accountability, and proactive problem solving. My goal is not only to deliver exceptional plumbing systems, but to be a trusted partner who makes the construction process easier for everyone involved. Clients value my ability to bridge the gap between the field and project management, providing practical solutions, clear communication, and leadership that helps keep projects moving forward. 

Favorite things to do outside of work?

1. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my wife and two daughters. We enjoy traveling to France and Singapore to visit family.
2. If I am not with my family, I am out on my boat fishing or playing a round of golf
