I began my plumbing career in 2003 as an apprentice with D. R. Howard, Inc. and graduated from Local 12’s five-year apprenticeship program in 2008. After graduation, I worked as a foreman in the field while also teaching night classes for Local 12.
In 2012, I became one of the first full-time instructors in Local 12’s newly established day school program, helping develop what has become one of the premier training programs in the industry. After eight and a half years as an instructor, I returned to D. R. Howard as a BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator, working on complex projects with demanding schedules before transitioning into estimating and project management.
Today, I continue to teach part-time for IAPMO, providing continuing education courses for Massachusetts Journeyman Plumbers and Gasfitters.
Before entering the plumbing industry, I worked as a Software QA Engineer in the telecommunications field during the dot-com era. Following the market downturn in 2002, I was given the opportunity to start over as a plumbing apprentice—a decision that shaped the rest of my career and one I have never regretted.
I have remained actively involved with Local 12 throughout my career, serving in several union leadership roles. In 2024, I was honored to be elected President of Local 12 Plumbers and Gasfitters, an achievement that remains one of the proudest and most humbling moments of my professional life.
